Kathy moved to Randolph in 2007 and has been serving in music ministry at St. Matthew’s since February 2012. Born into a musical family in Union, NJ, Kathy plays organ, piano, violin, viola, and guitar. A graduate of Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, Kathy later earned an M.A. in Theology from Notre Dame. While living in Indiana and Wisconsin, she served in Catholic schools and parishes as theology teacher, campus minister, RCIA director, music minister, and adult faith formation coordinator. In 1989, she returned to NJ and spent 16 years as a religion editor and a music editor. She now teaches piano, guitar, and violin at Gill St. Bernard’s School in Gladstone. Here at St. Matthew’s, Kathy works with the praise band, the adult choir, the teen choir, and the children’s choir. In her spare time, Kathy tries to keep up with her writing – especially personal memoir and Progoff’s intensive journaling exercises – and serves on ecumenical retreat teams.
